About

I posted this last week but took it down the next day after some fine critiquing by Daugrin and Charlie.

I punched up the bass, re-recorded the slide guitar, added a second acoustic rhythm track, and then thoroughly remixed the whole kit n’ kaboodle.

I have dispensed with the extensive liner notes. After all, some folks will be offended at this song no matter what I say or how carefully I say it. (Hey… it’s who they are!)

Anyway, I hope a few of you good folk can enjoy this for what it is: an over-the-top post-mortem roast!

Be well all, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Wow many this one really captures a lot of “appalachian”. I love the vocals, guitar parts, and effects…..furthermore the solo at the bridge is Amazing!!! Perfectly written! The fiddle is also stellar!! Then you have the crowd sounds sprinkled in there! Im delighted all the way around!!! The only thing i want to hear is maybe a little more punchy and deeper bass guitar sound……but that’s just my opinion!!!!

    Bravo!~!
    Thanks for sharing!!!!

  2. In this version the slide is more in tune. but still pitch challenged in inappropriate places to my ear. I know ya worked ******* this as it has lots of moving parts and ear gags, which I appreciate. You have really grown on the production work this year Mike. I look forward to hearing yer output this year. Notice how you keep pushing personal boundaries? Yer still growing!
